I acquired a BA in Child Development at Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut, USA, followed by a MA in Psychotherapy from Regent’s College in London and a Diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition from CNM in London. I have also worked with children, families and individual adults in various settings from nurseries and schools, to NHS and CNM supervised clinics.
My Diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition and ND (Natural Doctor) status feel like the culmination of my varied studies, gathering my previous knowledge and experience to enlighten my naturopathic protocols. For example, it is a relief to understand that many developmental and mental health issues can be actively supported by naturopathic and nutritional interventions and that the talking cure is one aspect of promoting health, but not the sole solution. Practically, I now rely on a wide range of tools from vitamin B6, Ashwaganda to walking in nature amongst many interventions as effective ways to support anxiety and stress for example.
Also as a member of BANT (British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy) and CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council), I aim to uphold the highest standards of integrity, knowledge, competence and professional practice to best promote my client’s interest and the high standards of the field. They are also a means for me to stay abreast with current research in the field and bring it back to my practice to help each and every client.
